First Blog

Hello!

This is my very first blog.  I am going to try to figure all of this out.  It may take me a little bit.

I guess I should start off by telling you a little bit about myself.  I am currently a student at the University of Arizona.  I am working on receiving a degree in English with a minor in Gender and Woman's Studies.  Outside of school work, I am the Co-director of one of the six LGBTQ groups, Pride Alliance, on the UofA's campus.  I have worked with Pride Alliance for two years now.  The group focuses on promoting a healthy environment for LGBTQA student, staff, faculty and Tucson's surrounding community.  

As an active member of such a diverse group, I am committed to fighting for equal rights for all people.  Now is the time for change within the LGBTQ community.  Will all of our members and all of our allies, we can succeed in gaining the right to same sex  marriage, abolishing Don't Ask Don't Tell, and reaching the goal of equality.   

I think that is a good start to my blog.
